FINANCIAL PLANNING: The Puzzle Approach

At Puzzle Wealth, we understand that each of our clients is on a unique financial journey. Financial planning with us is built entirely around you — your circumstances, your goals, and your vision for the future. Every recommendation flows directly from a customized financial plan crafted for your specific needs, whether you're a corporate executive managing equity compensation, a business owner preparing for a transition, or a family building toward retirement in Southlake and across Dallas–Fort Worth.

Why does a Financial Plan Matter?

A well-designed financial plan is the cornerstone of pursuing financial success. It connects the pieces — income, investments, taxes, insurance, and estate intentions — so each decision supports the others instead of working against them. With a plan in place, market swings and life changes become adjustments to a strategy rather than emergencies without one

Financial Planning Service - Puzzle Wealth

Your Financial Planning Process with Puzzle Wealth

Discovery Session

We begin with a deep dive into your financial landscape — your goals, current situation, and priorities. This foundation lets us craft a plan that's entirely yours.

Plan Creation

Your Puzzle Wealth advisor builds a tailored financial plan designed to pursue your goals, accounting for income, investments, taxes, equity compensation, business interests, and the life changes you can see coming.

Strategy Presentation

We walk through the plan together — key insights, recommendations, and the reasoning behind each strategy — so you fully understand your options and the path forward.

Implementation

Once you're ready, we execute: aligning accounts, investments, and strategies with the plan, step by step.

Annual Review and Updates

Life evolves, and so should your plan. Each year we update it to reflect changes in your goals or circumstances, so the advice you receive keeps pace as your life grows more complex.

What’s Included in a Puzzle Wealth Financial Plan?

Your plan is comprehensive and covers the full picture of your financial life: cash flow and budgeting that reflect your lifestyle and savings goals; investment planning matched to your goals and risk tolerance; retirement planning that maps how much to save, where to invest, and how to sequence withdrawals; tax-aware strategies that look for ways to lessen your tax liability; and estate planning coordination so your legacy passes according to your wishes. We use professional planning software, statistical analysis, and scenario modeling to measure your probability of reaching your goals — and to find the moves that improve it.

Our Ongoing Commitment to You

At Puzzle Wealth, our relationship with you doesn't end after the financial plan is created. Life is unpredictable—goals shift, families grow, priorities change. That's why we remain committed to adjusting your financial plan as needed and conducting annual reviews so your investment strategies stay aligned with your evolving vision for the future.

Already have a plan? Get a complimentary second opinion.

If you're working with another advisor — or built your plan yourself — a fresh, independent set of eyes can be valuable. Our second opinion service is complimentary and reviews three things: your investment portfolio (allocation, risk exposure, and costs), your retirement readiness (savings rate, withdrawal strategy, and tax efficiency), and your overall strategy's fit with your goals. We'll also help you answer questions worth asking of any advisor: Is your advisor a fiduciary when giving advice? Are all fees fully disclosed? Does your advisor coordinate with your CPA and attorney? All we need is a couple of hours of your time — and if your current plan is strong, we'll tell you exactly that.

When should I get a second opinion on my financial plan?

Consider it after major life events — a career change, marriage, divorce, inheritance, business sale, or approaching retirement — or whenever you're uncertain whether your portfolio's performance, fees, or risk level still fit your goals. There's no obligation, and the review often surfaces questions worth asking even if you stay right where you are.
